Charlotte Observer: Legal services firm plans to expand
A New York legal services firm has hired a Bank of America Corp. executive as its chief operating officer and plans to expand in Charlotte.
John Ritter will be based in Charlotte for DiscoverReady LLC, which analyzes e-mails and electronic documents for law firms and corporate legal departments. At Bank of America, he led a team that handled electronic legal discovery operations, cyber investigations and other activities.
The firm last year said it was opening a Charlotte office and hiring about 100 people. It now has about 90 people here, with plans to grow further, Ritter said Thursday.
DiscoverReady plans to double its space in uptown to 20,000 square feet, but Ritter said it was too early to say how many more people the firm plans to hire. DiscoverReady is adding in areas such as project management, human resources, finance and information technology, he said…
