PrivBank is a proprietary privilege review process, a technology and database for collecting information and insight gained from reviewing more than 10 million electronic files (100 million pages) for privileged material over hundreds of cases. Our database contains names, email addresses and domain names associated with attorneys, law firms and consultants from around the world. We have also spent thousands of hours formulating and refining complex queries for identifying privileged communications and work product.

Even without any case-specific information, we are able to identify a high percentage of privileged records using the database and stored queries.

At the outset of each matter, we can use critical data from PrivBank to help identify and segregate documents containing key indicators of privilege. With this segregated data, we create a PrivBank for each client and deposit the data into it. We are then able to reuse the “fingerprint” and corresponding content from one matter to the next, allowing us to develop an increasingly effective privilege screening process for our clients.
